Privacy Policy
Last updated October 24, 2026
Appliance Tracker is made by Tracker LLC. This policy explains what the Appliance Tracker app and website collect, what we do with it, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the stable account id that provider gives us and the email address it shares. We never see your Google or Apple password.
- Your appliances. Model numbers, serial numbers, brands, photos of appliance labels and of the appliances themselves, nicknames, rooms, and the notes and repair requests you add.
- Business accounts. If you join a business, the business sees the name on your account, the machines, parts, repairs and pickups you record for it, the home address you enter for pickup routes, and the pickup addresses you add. If you allow location, the app uses it only to show where you are on the business pickups map.
- Device and usage data. A push notification token if you allow notifications, and the network address and time of requests, which we keep briefly to stop abuse of sign in and photo features.
How we use it
- To identify your appliances from their labels and look up parts, recalls and repair information.
- To keep your home and business records and show them to you and, for a business, to its members.
- To send account emails, such as confirmation codes, password resets and parts-ready notices.
- To make a clean product picture of an appliance from the photo you take of it.
- To keep the service working and stop abuse.
We do not sell your information and we do not show ads.
Who processes it for us
We run on a small number of service providers, each bound to use the data only to provide their service to us: Cloudflare (servers and photo storage), Neon (database), Resend (email), OpenAI (turns an appliance photo into a product picture), Anthropic (reads appliance labels), and Expo (push notifications and app builds). Model numbers, never your personal details, are sent to parts suppliers to look up parts lists. Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple are provided by Google and Apple under their own policies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and its records until you delete the account. Rate limit records are kept for hours. A product picture made for a model stays in the shared catalog for that model, with no link to you, after you delete your account; the photo you took is removed.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings, then Delete account. This permanently removes your account, appliances, requests and photos. If you were part of a business, the business keeps its own records of the work you logged, with your account unlinked. You can also email us at support@appliancetracker.app and we will delete it for you.
Children
Appliance Tracker is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
